From UtilityPhone :

UtilityPhone offers a safe, simple, and secure communications solution to individuals and corporations around the world. UtilityPhone is offered to the global public as a quarterly, bi-yearly, or yearly subscription service. The client software connects to the Global Contact Server to authenticate that the customer has the right to use the service and once authenticated the server feeds the client with information about who is online and available for secure communications out of their buddy list. Users can add new contacts to their list by simply knowing the User I.D. of the person that they wish to talk to. Communications can be secured by using AES 256 bit encryption. To communicate securely, both parties create a public key within the client software and then exchange these keys with each other.

Version 1.5 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
