Ever had such an annoying message given by Windows: Cannot delete file: Access is denied. There has been a sharing violation. The source or destination file may be in use or the file is in use by another program or user. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use. Unlocker is the solution. Unlocker is an Explorer extension that allows you with a simple right-click of the mouse on a file or folder to get rid of error message such as error deleting file or folder, cannot delete folder: it is used by another person or program.
What's new in this version: Version 1.9.1 has fixed all references to previous website in UI.

"Breaks the worst worms and viruses in half"

Pros
Very low profile program that does exactly what it promises, and stands up to the meanest infections quite simply and elegantly. It did not install any malware. Somebody has crappy paranoid anti-virus software! It detects as "malware" because it has some of the hallmarks of malware - able to override windows built in functionality and such. Completely safe though, I have used it for years.
Cons
no cons, but sometimes I wish it would give me a little more information and confirmation on how it will delete on reboot
Summary
Everyone needs this in their anti malware/spyware/virus kit as some will lock themselves up, and even if unlocker can't kill it, you can still break worms by renaming files

Does what you want, quickly and easily. Kill a process blocking access or rights to a file.
Cons
Some bloatware but you can navigate around installing that.
Summary
If you can't use a file because it's being used by another program and you cant figure out what, get this and kill the blocker.

Even though it had been said to be a bit of a difficult to understand or use interface, I had no difficulty whatsoever.
Cons
None that I've yet found and I've used it a number of times thus far. Recommended it to an old friend in IT since the 70s and he used it with good results also.
