This handy freeware application saves you time and energy if you need to open multiple archived files. You'll get off to a rocky start, however: UnPacker's utilitarian interface isn't immediately intuitive, and there's no help file to guide you. A simple browser allows you to choose a directory, but the option to scan for archives or add them to the queue for unzipping can only be found on the context menu of a folder in the program's built-in browser or in Windows Explorer.
The program will list all archives in a directory and you can choose which ones you want to open. Once you've navigated that terrain, you'll find that UnPacker handles both RAR and ZIP archives with ease. The process was very quick regardless of how many archives were in the queue. Settings allow you to automatically delete archives after files are extracted, rename extracted files, and save a queue of archives to open at a later time.
Unfortunately, you can't specify a directory for extracted files; they're automatically placed in the same folder as the archive. Even so, UnPacker eliminates the need to open multiple archives one by one, and you can't beat its price.
Publisher's description
From Lars Werner :UnPacker is a fully automated extracting tool. This is not a WinRAR or WinZIP replacement but quite a useful utility when you want to extract large quantum of archives. The program makes a queue of every RAR added to the list and extract them one by one. This way you can peacefully play your games (or sleep) while extracting. It also has optional functions to clean up (removing archives after extract).

Version: UnPacker 1.3.2
"How are you supposed to work this thing??!"
Pros: It's free
Cons: How are you supposed to work this crap??! The most difficult unzipping program to use on the planet by far. You open a file in it and it just sits there, you don't know what to click or anything.

Version: UnPacker 1.3.2
Pros: quickly and easily found and extracted both rar and zip files on my computer.
Cons: There were not enough options for choosing the placement of extracted files. This is only a minor inconvinience though.
