Publisher's description
From DiskTrix :UltimateDefrag lets you defrag and optimize your hard drive any way you want to. Hard drive file use adheres to the Pareto Rule of 80/20. 80% of the time you only use 20% of the files on your hard drive. UltimateDefrag lets you place those unused files out of the way onto the slower tracks of your drive. UltimateDefrag also considers the high performance areas of your hard drive (the outer tracks) and enables you to strategically place the files and folders you want the best performance from to these faster outer tracks.
UltimateDefrag also provides the first true disk display metaphor in a defragger. UltimateDefrag can place Directories next to your MFT for very fast MFT/Directory transactions. This alone vastly accelerates performance of your hard drive. Includes over 55 total defrag method combinations. When done right, your hard drive performance will increase by up to 100%. Version 1.54 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: UltimateDefrag 1.54
"This program is awesome, better than Perfect Disk"
Pros: It does everything Perfect Disk does and some, while using less resources. It'll run in safe mode when Perfect Disk won't, and defraging in safe mode allows a more comprehensive defrag. It doesn't run any services in the background that slow system performance like Perfect Disk and Diskeeper do, making this the ideal choice for older and/or low resource computers.
Cons: It's not free, but it's worth paying for.
It doesn't defrag in the background, but that's silly anyway because the background defragmentation often slows the computer as much as disk fragmentation would. If you have a powerful computer with a large hard disk, and you aren't worried about computer resources, but running a defrag regularly is a pain, try Diskeeper or I/O Smart Defrag (free).

"Not Good Can make conflict with your antivirus programs"
Cons: I defrag my hard disk using it and suddenly kaspersky antivirus stop working. Can cost some windows errors. Choose Perfectdisk or O & O Defrag instead.

Version: UltimateDefrag 1.54
Pros: I'm running this under XP Pro with Norton Internet Security enabled at all times. Most partitions are NTFS.
UltimateDefrag has worked flawlessly for me and it is relatively fast. It dramatically speeded some functions, compared to a partition already defragged by another purchased defragger.
It may have 55 different ways to defrag, but "auto" or "fragmented files" works for me. I'd use a different option if I was compressing to the outside of the disk prior to reducing partition size.
The real surprise came after "auto" placed the least used data near the end of the System's partition. After a boot , Windows reduced the size of the MFT reserved area by about 75%.
The graphic representation of the partition allows "walking the disk" . A click on the cluster content displays the full path for the item.
Good documentation on the web-site and in the user's manual explain defrag theory. Follow-up emails, from DiskTrix, after downloading help get it all started.
Finally someone that understands Windows, NTFS, disk, and different data sets has put it all together.
I am impressed.

"The Best Defrag Program I've ever used."
Pros: Don't let the low rating confuse this program is by far the best defrag program out there i've tried, it's lightweight but very powerful.
User Rating from Softpedia -> 4.7/5 by 47 users
Cons: Almost nothing to complain about although it can be slow on certain options on big drives but thats because its doing a complex job. You can also just do a regular defrag which is usually exceptionally fast. User interface could use a couple tweaks but nothing big.
