Version: Ulead VideoStudio 9.0
"An Utterly Worthless Program"
Pros: Nothing, except perhaps that it's shareware and you can remove it after you find out how useless it is without getting ripped off by buying it.
Cons: Just about everything. First it takes twice as long as any other video editor to convert and burn dvds. It has a bunch of useless add-ins like stupid looking borders around your movies and really annoying music that blares out when you're looking at the menu for the DVD. Unless you're one of those people who thought those "plastic waving hands" and all those "_____ on Board" signs in car windows were really cool, you will probably find these things annoying and useless and your friends and family will probably be talking about you and laughing at you behind your back if you ever show them your DVDs with these stupid things in there. And when it comes time to convert and burn it on a DVD you should plan to take your vacation during this period and it might be done when you get back. As far as CNet's rating on this is concerned, I have found their ratings pretty much useless and rarely agree with user's ratings. They always rate lousy programs good. I suspect their ratings can be bought for the right price.

Version: Ulead VideoStudio 9.0
Pros: Very easy to use, few glitches. I tried this after Pinnacle which I couldn't get to work for five minutes without bugs, and I was instantly happier with Ulead. The program has frozen up once, but even after I closed it and reopened it, it recovered the unsaved project I was working on. I'm creating a wedding video for my brother, and have little editing experience, but already I feel confident and everyone who's seen the project is so impressed! I'm only using the trial version, but plan on purchasing it as soon as the trial finishes because I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this for the beginner video editor.
Cons: I don't have the user manual since I am only using the trial version, so I haven't figured a few things out, like how to create a menu. Otherwise, I really have no complaints.

Version: Ulead VideoStudio 9.0
Pros: Has a nice splash screen
Cons: Terrible interface and integration. Nothing is intuitive in this package. Tech support takes three days to reply to emails and even then in broken "Engrish". (Wrote tech support about "Ulead VS 9.0" was told they don't have a product called that!)
Manual does not go far enough in explaining the feature or setup. FAQs online are broken. (Site ALWAYS times out while searching)
Slow, slow, slow load times, poor user interface, bad implementation/no explanation of features.
I am help desk support in a Big 4 Accounting Firm, I know what I"m talking about!
