Version: Ubuntu 9.04
"Best Free Linux OS Out There"
Pros: Easy to use, great support, looks great, performs great, A lot of things are now compatible with Ubuntu, Easy to setup and a great free Linux OS, and something that can really compete with Windows 7 and Snow Leopard.
Cons: Not everything is compatible with it, and some programs like iTunes aren't compatible with it, because these companies don't make any money from it.
Summary: A must get Linux OS, easy to use, looks great and is a great all around Os, which can easily compete with Windows and Mac.

Version: Ubuntu 9.04
"the coolness of Mac OS x without the pretence and free"
Pros: I have been able to customise this system to look exactly the way I want it to. More importantly however, I was able to get it to work with my peripherals right out of the box, including my 1 tb external hard drive, which the system mounted perfectly
Cons: Lots to learn. Customisation can be a long and frustrating experience. Configuring a dual monitor setup was a job.
Summary: If you are minimally computer savvy, you will have what it takes to run this system out of the box. The installation was no worse than any Microsoft product. Drivers were up to date, recognising all of my installed hardware.
And while there is... read more >> -

Version: Ubuntu 9.04
Pros: Oh man, everything is a Pro with Ubuntu! Haha, just read the summary, it'll clear things up.
Cons: Lack of support on mainstream utilities
Summary: This Operating System is phenomenal, the only one I'll voluntarily use anymore. First of all it is a Unix based OS, so you know it's going to be pretty secure to begin with. Also, most of the software is community rated, making it obvious whether o... read more >>
