From UBCD4Win :UBCD4Win is a bootable "live" CD which contains software that allows you to repair/restore/diagnostic almost any computer problem. All software included in UBCD4Win are freeware utilities for Windows. UBCD4Win is based on Bart's PE. Bart's PE builds a Windows "pre-install" environment CD, basically Windows booted from CD. With network support, the ability to modify NTFS volumes, recover deleted files, create new NTFS volumes, and scan hard drives for viruses. This project includes almost everything you need to repair your system problems.

Pros: A tool for everything I ever neded - repartition, check, backup or restore a drive, remove viruses, you name it.
Cons: Slow from a CD, a pain to get it working on a USB.
Summary: Easy to use and while slow on the CD, it's OK for using once in a while.

Pros: I install it and it didn't work, it was looking for a file what give (Bin file) what it couldn't find. In one hour I uninstall it already.

"Excellent boot cd for Windoze recovvery"
Pros: Easy to build, very complete, worked after the first build. Much easier build than some of the other recovery tools.
Cons: Really no con's yet, still want to try the CD with some of the newer laptops at the office that require a flaky intel driver set to enable the SATA drives. I had fun making a BartPE disk work with the newer Dell Latitudes?
Summary: A solid tool for building a bootable recovery CD, which also has other uses beyond recovery of an errant Windoze installation.
