From UBCD4Win :UBCD4Win is a bootable "live" CD which contains software that allows you to repair/restore/diagnostic almost any computer problem. All software included in UBCD4Win are freeware utilities for Windows. UBCD4Win is based on Bart's PE. Bart's PE builds a Windows "pre-install" environment CD, basically Windows booted from CD. With network support, the ability to modify NTFS volumes, recover deleted files, create new NTFS volumes, and scan hard drives for viruses. This project includes almost everything you need to repair your system problems. Version 3.06 features: NOD32 'false positive' fixed, updated BTS drivers (now enabled by default), new nVidia NIC drivers package added, and several other small updates.
Note: This is a very large (196MB) file and may take several hours to download via slow Internet connection. Version 3.10 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.

"My Avast detected a WIN32 Trojan Virus in a file named ".. erase...erase...""
Pros: Sounded like something I really need and had good reviews, lots of downloads...but when I was installing my Avast security program detected a virus that said trojan horse and the end of the file name had the words "erase" in it a couple times
Cons: Trojan Horse Virus detected using Avast. Was using this to fix other computer...the last thing I need is a virus!!!!!! And it would only let me install it to C:\ directory, not to other directory. Not very nice for people to do this. What's the purpose?
Cnet says spyware free - can't it screen for virus? Why didn't other installing this get it? I'm screwed if this computer messes up.

"This is an EXCELLENT tool. I don't know how I getting along without it."
Pros: A standard Windows Interface that allows you to access NTFS partitions from a boot CD. Standard troubleshooting tools built in like HDTUNE, Spybot S&D, registry editors, I haven't even started touching most of the tools. This is really a must have for any technician.

Pros: In my humble opinion the people who compliled the totally free software that's available right here on this web site into 1 download is good for people who don't know about the software.
Cons: There's nothing to really dislike about the software because everything in this download is good software. My issue with it is that by compiling all of this totally free software which is all available right here on this web site as seperate downloads, it created an enormous download that even my broadband connection took a long time to download. You just have to go through and pick out what you want and download it.

"Very useful too with NO VIRUS"
Pros: Includes many tools useful for managing a pc or many pcs. IT CONTAINS NO VIRUS!
Cons: Because BartPE uses ipscan, they get a false positive from many antivirus programs. You should tell all scans to ignore the ubcd install directory. This is not spyware. It is a tool that can be used for hacking purposes but it, by itself, is harmless. Besides, antivirus programs always give more false positives than they should because it drums up business. They don't really care too much if they are wrong.

"Complete fixit shop in a disk"
Pros: Easy to use. Files easily accessed.
Cons: Needs some of the software updated.
