CNET Editors' review
This free Firefox add-on is a fun way to post your current music selections to other Twitter members, but users should be aware that there are some strings attached.
TwittyTunes can be accessed through the status bar icon, though a hot-key combo would have been more convenient. From there, a drop-down menu lets you manage your Twitter account and make a posting. A pop-up window lets you choose what you're doing at that particular moment and type a message. The program is a bit deceiving because in order to post what music you're listening to, you are required to download FoxyTunes. Once we did, we were able to post our current music selection to Twitter for our friends to see. We could play the music directly from our status bar using our default music player. The posting also provided a link for our friends to see the artist's profile.
While we didn't appreciate the additional download it took to use the program, TwittyTunes worked well for us. Twitter members will find this a fun tool for sharing their favorite music with other members.
