"Not what I was looking for so gave mid rating."
Version: Twin 1.2.6
Pros
Easy install. Once I gave it my MobileMe account, it got the password from my system after I gave it permission to do so.
No other comments as I was looking for a "Copy new & changed files" to my MobileMe iDisk.Cons
Not enough information to decide if I want to purchase this software, so you must use the free trial to decide. Trial is restricts you to 1 file (really a directory as u can't choose a file) and a max size of 256MB (I think). Slow 15MB takes 5 min.
Summary
Not was I was looking for so I did not just created one backup. It throttled me back to a lower max size than advertised but as my test was small, it went through. The destination directory must first be created on iDisk (my test to MobileMe) as it must be empty and you can't select the root directory. It created 2 "Archive.." files and 1 "Revision.." file. Mysteriously an AVI file appeared copied "as-is". Huh!
Using my Hi-Speed (10 Mbps), my sample 15MB directory took 5 minutes to complete the creation of the archive files on my MobileMe iDisk on a Fri.@10am.
The only option I have to view these files is to use the twin software to select one or more of the file inside the archive and "Restore".
As I am looking for a simple utility to "Copy new & changed files" to my MobileMe iDisk, I did not continue evaluating this software. -
"Promising but appalling support"
Version: Twin 1.2.1
Summary

I thought this program looked very promising and I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work on my Mac to backup on a server over the internet. Despite multiple attempts of contacting the support team via support forum and emails I wasn't able to get a single helpful response within the last 6 weeks (!). So I paid good money for this program, haven't managed to back up a single file yet and am getting more and more annoyed with them. I tried to get my money refunded - also unsuccessfully.
Bottom line: Unfortunately this is not a program on which you can rely on for backups and the service and support they offer is absolutely appalling. Nice idea but nothing for serious use! -

"Best Backup App"
Version: Twin 1.1

Love the support for FTP/webDAV! There's not that many apps that implement these well. I have webspace online at my host that I'd love to utilize for backing up my docs and other small items, and this app is the first to manage this properly! I've used them all (smartbackup, .mac backup, etc) and none implements remote backing up quite right. Thanks for the great software!
