This excellent, free utility makes the potentially daunting prospect of cleaning your PC's registry safe and simple. The interface is straightforward, and most users will probably only need the Scan and Remove buttons. The settings are configured for immediate use, although you may exclude some registry branches and references to removable drives from the scan. In case something goes wrong after deletion, you can quickly restore the removed keys. The program also gives you an additional safety cushion by pointing out keys that are not 100 percent safe to delete. In our tests, the utility found and removed hundreds of junk entries in minutes, making it a worthy download for just about any home user, especially those less technically inclined.Publisher's description
From Tweak Now :The Registry is the heart and soul of any Windows system. It contains information that controls how your system appears and how it behaves. When you install an application, new Registry entries will be created. These entries automatically will be deleted when you uninstall the application. Unfortunately, this process does not always work. Sometimes, some applications fail to remove their own Registry entries. These entries become obsolete. After a long period, after you install and uninstall a number of applications, your Windows Registry will contain a large number of obsolete entries. This will significantly increase the Registry size and slow down your computer, because Windows will need more time to load, search, and read data from the Registry. To keep your computer at top performance, it is recommended you periodically clean your Windows Registry.
Version 2.6 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: TweakNow RegCleaner 2.6
Cons: This program does NO good. I've been scanning my computer for over 6 months with it now and it finds the same stuff, all of which do not need to be deleted. I'm glad i didn't delete anything. If you are looking for a free registry cleaner that does the job, download CCLEANER. I can't believe i didn't hear of it till now. For the longest time i used registry mechanic just to fix the few issues that i could (since i would not pay for the full version), finally i ran into ccleaner, and WOW. Tweaknow does nothing for you. If you don't believe me try it for yourself and you will see.
