The minimalist interface of this unassuming password manager hides a surprising number of features, though functionality is a mixed bag. TurboPasswords supports multiple users, provides customizable account categories and templates, and synchronizes with handhelds. It can't interface with desktop applications, but does offer a convenient add-on for filling out passwords in Internet Explorer. In most respects, TurboPassword is careful with your privacy. It stores information a database encrypted with a 128-bit Blowfish algorithm. It requires a separate logon at each launch, and provides an onscreen keyboard to foil keyloggers. It provides a generator for creating relatively hack-proof passwords. Oddly, however, passwords and PINs appear unconcealed in the application windows (similar programs hide them by default). We also missed the ability to minimize the program to the system tray. However, if you use IE and mainly need a program for filling out Web forms, TurboPasswords is a competitive option.
