Caligari's TrueSpace allows users to create, render, and animate 3D models for animation, illustrations, Web pages, games, VRML worlds, and more. Objects may be given the properties of real materials, such as wood or rubber, and forces such as gravity and wind can be added easily. Users can paint textures or bumps directly onto objects in 3D, and manipulate solid objects, including lights and textures, in real time, using software or hardware acceleration. Additional features include an integrated VRML browser/publisher and the ability to attach audio to 3D objects with positional 3D sound, attenuation, and Doppler effect.

Version 5.1 adds third-party plug-in integration, enhanced rendering, and more.

TrueSpace is a 30-day trial. Full registration costs $299.

3rd party plugins are fully integrated into the trueSpace interface. Fully customizable plugin toolbars can be seamlessly integrated into standard trueSpace toolbars
Support for the mouse wheel allows for easy eye manipulation without the need to switch tools manually. Both zooming the eye as well as navigating around the selected objects is provided
Safe-area guard lines for video output are provided
