Version: TrueSafe 2.15
"Dollar for Dollar the best Backup solution money can buy!"
Pros: After reviewing the FREE version for about 10 minutes, I realized the value in this little program. Unfortunatly, the FREE, "personal" version had limitations that I could not live with. However, for $29.99 you can't ask for much more from a backup solution that allows both compressed zip backups as well as native format duplication onto an alternate drive. I post my backups in native format onto a RAID enabled DLINK DNS-323 (as the software that came bundled with that network appliance wasn't worth the effort it took to review it.)
After running Nero BackItUp 3 with moderate success (scheduled backups failed after a few rounds), this solution was not only BETTER, but highly reliable and runs seemlessly in the system tray. Its backups include "in use" files as well as system and hidden files. So, backing up your Outlook files/folders are a snap at any point during the day you wish to schedule your backup rutines.
The professional version is easy to configure and will email you reports of your backup jobs. The FREE version again, has limitations as to how many folders, and jobs you can create. But, again...if you're going to get something that WORKS, $29.00 isn't worth concerning yourself with. Just "PAY the MAN"! You'll be glad you did!
Cons: The limitations of the FREE version is something most users will not be able to live with. Again, stepping up to the Professional Version will be ideal for the majority. But, it's CHEAP! Don't fret it.
The GUI also needs some improvement. It's rather unstylish and could use a good shine. Perhaps version 3.00 will garner that image. They are VERY close to huge product here.
I didn't care for the asking to purchase additional support for re-downloads if you've lost your download. Seems unwarrented and puts a ugly face on an otherwise good product and publisher.
