Version: TrojanHunter 5
"Serious false positives and some!"
Pros: Zero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's junk full of false positives, BS about firewall ports and as far as I'm concerned, might as well be listed a rogue.
Cons: First I installed this garbage on three systems. One XP Pro, One Vista Ultimate and the last, Vista Home Premium. On all three it detected supposed trojans that three different Anti-Virus scanners didn't. These Anti-Virus programs are Kaspersky, NOD32 and McAfee. Not only that, it told me about open ports in each systems firewall when I', 100% positive all ports are in stealth.. Keep this junk Mischel Internet Security and keep your cash users.

Version: TrojanHunter 5
"Well, I have to admit, I was wrong."
Pros: Well, I have to admit I was wrong about this program. I installed the free trial and started a full scan. Here I am, thinking I'm good and clean. But I wasn't. This program notified me of 9 open ports in my firewall, found and quickly killed 3 trojans and made me a believer. I'm thinking "***", I need this program so I got a free copy threw "Trial Pay" and it was well worth the minor hassle to get it.
Cons: No matter the comments, the trial "will not update". It will however, scan and kill any trojans on your computer as well as check your firewall ports. The download is worth a go.

Version: TrojanHunter 5
"Despite specs, maybe not so suitable for good old Windows 98SE"
Pros: Interface was simple. Intentions of developers looked fine to me.
Cons: Admittedly, mine is an older PC. I installed TrojanHunter 5 set so its "guard" component was off. The app may work just fine with newer OSs, but for my Win98SE: it messed up Windows Explorer, which kept crashing then restarting itself. This problem ended when I (a) disabled the TrojanHunter "shell" entry I found using ShellExView, then (b) uninstalled TrojanHunter entirely. Also, both the definitions update and the full scan took excessive amounts of time.

Version: TrojanHunter 5
"Great potential, still needs work!"
Pros: Unique in it's approach as theres only a few others like it. Mischel Internet Security seems to be a well respected publisher of security software (at least in Europe). Great idea thats been neglected in it's development.
Cons: Hasn't had an updated version in a year. Plain jane interface. False positives & always seems to think I have open ports which, behind an encrypted router is impossible. The free trial is a waste of time as it "WILL NOT UPDATE"!
Summary: If Mischel Internet Security ever addresses the issues mentioned in my cons I'd have another look but not before then. Especially after I found "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware ". It's off the chain & just about as perfect as one can get for Vista use... read more >>
