Version: TrojanHunter 4.7
Pros: Apparently, this London based security company has a good reputation in Europe. That must be where they make their living but this application is to high priced, even for my taste. With the emergence of the top anti virus scanners ability on detecting trojans, this is just not a useful tool in my book. I just can't see shelling out this cash for an application of this type. You can purchase "AntiVir Premium" for thirteen dollars less.. For ten dollars more, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus" and for the same price "NOD32" and "Avast Professional". All of these applications work very good on trojans and will give you a good anti-virus, anti-trojan scanner combined.
Cons: The free trial thats supposed to have no limitations but it will not update. If I can't fully try an application I'm not familiar with, I won't think about purchasing it.

"If you like wasting $$, then go for it!"
Pros: Personally, I can't see $40 bucks for an infection specific security app. This is especially true if you have a top of the line AV app installed. I am running "AntiVir Personal Premium" and haven't had a single infection by a virus, trojan or worm in almost 10 months. The top AV scanners are all provide solid protection against trojans so an app of this type is unnecessary. If the price was more along the lines of $20 bucks, like "Counter Spy" it might be a worth while investment but at $40 bucks, no way. Not recommended. Just get a good AV app and forget it. You can get the one I'm using for $27 bucks and it's great.
Cons: The free trial is not full. It will not update and it promotes the purchase of the full version by pop up. I don't care who the publisher is or how respected they are, a free trial thats not full isn't worth bothering with, especially if they want you to spend $40 bucks. You can get a free trial of, say, "Avast Pro" for 60 days. Now thats the way all publishers should do things. Full free trials for at least 30 days. I know, my AV app also has a limited free trial but there is a free version to use for as long as you like. Thats how and why I bought the premium version.
