Pros
Very well written piece of software. It does the work that an experienced user can do with hijackthis, it does registry repairs that often need to be done manually, and it takes huge steps to prevent reinfection; and it does it all VERY quickly.
Cons
It's not the end-all be-all for malicious software, but it doesn't pretend or need to be. Personally I have found that this little gem is worth it's bytes in gold, even if it can't cure AIDS.
Summary
Normally I'd **** and moan that it's only a 30 day trial/should be open source, but I really can't on this one. First of all, for it's intended application you really should only have to use this baby once, and you can uninstall/reinstall to infinity and beyond. FAR more importantly then that, this is one of those great pieces of software that you really don't mind paying the dev's for. I have not even done its capabilities justice, but you can't argue with it's intuition and time efficiency. More great stuff dev's!!!!!1111

I just removed the trojan downloader.z (a nasty trojan with a built in key logger) with this tool. Something that I failed to do using my fully updated Mcafee. Fast, easy to use and a clean pc!

Pros
Trojan Remover aims to fit the gap where others fail in detection and removal. It attempts to identify files based upon signature, heuristic, or other strange characteristics that may indicate a malicious file.
I have used it numerous of times to locate hidden rootkits, strange loading Vundo trojans, and other malicious malware. It really does have a lot of power under the hood.
Not only does it have the chops to deal with malicious files, it also has the ability to reset and repair much of the damage left over from such malware infestations- such as resetting explorer policies, fixing LSP chains, removing restrictions to the desktop wall paper, and resetting exefile hijacks.
Works on Windows 98 to Vista (32bit).
Updates to the program are frequent.
Cons
Does not work on 64bit Windows.
Needs a larger malware signature database.
Can be a little cumbersome.
Would be nice if some of the program's abilities could be implemented into realtime protection.
