Publisher's Description
From Cerulean Studios:
Trillian for Windows 4.1 Build 15 is now available for public beta testing. Trillian for Windows 4.1 features the following new improvements: Mail improvements, Windows 7 integration, better status control, powerful new Twitter and Facebook features.
We've also worked on improving overall stability, fixing bugs, and reducing resource requirements whenever possible. Moving forward, we'll be continuing to work with beta testers to resolve reported issues as we push towards a final release. Remember, 4.1 is still beta and will contain bugs and crashes. Don't upgrade unless you're comfortable running pre-release software! Thanks for your support and we hope you enjoy the newest Trillian.

""Beta" ?!?!? Try 'barely working', or 'pre-pre-alpha'"
Version: Trillian 4.1 beta
Pros
Not much.....
Cons
Nothing works, insulting piece of garbage
Summary
Summary: Nothing good here... .as is par for the course for the Trillian product. Support nonexistent. Don't even bother trying to participate in the beta program - arrogant developers simply disregard any suggestion for improvement and laugh at bug reports. Tried to help in the program but was dismissed.
Trillian as a product is slid into irrelevancy and offers nothing good. Certainly nothing worth paying for. Check out competitors in this product space - every one of them is better than this junk. -
"Great features bur doesn't work properly"
Version: Trillian 4.1 beta
Pros
Incorporates all the main IM's including Skype. Also connects to Facebook and Twitter. Nice interface and comprehensive settings.
Cons
No audio chats and video chat only in some IM's. You need to spend some time figuring it all out.
Summary
After such a long period in development I cannot believe that Trillian still leaves out the most basic form of communication apart from text chat - the ability to audio call a contact. It seems that you can only do this in Video chat and even that is not a feature in some IM's including the most popular - Windows Live Messenger. This beta version also didn't fully work for me. After spending a considerable time tweaking it to my liking I closed it down and restarted only to find all my IM's had disappeared and I had to re-install every one. In other words this version did not remember any of my IM's or their settings even though there is a check box against each one that is supposed to allow just that. Also this is not truly free - after 30 days it reverts to Trillian basic. I will not be using it for much longer until the bugs are fixed.
