Total Spy is a compact, efficient, and flexible entry in the monitoring software field. This application is hard to beat. Total Spy's simple, single-screen interface needs no manual to understand it. Options are well explained with a few words or simple titles. Settings are made with quick clicks of your mouse. Reports are displayed just as easily.
Total Spy's options dialog won't take but a few minutes to set. With just a couple of clicks you can set the program to load in hidden mode at system start. Another click can set a hot key to unhide the options box. The program captures key presses, screen shots, and visited URLs. Of course, each one has a single click option to toggle capturing.
Total Spy really performed by making its reports so easy to display. Merely click a date on the handy calendar, then click the report you want to see. Logged keystrokes helpfully includes the time, window name, user and keys pressed. The screenshots are easily set to save every minute up to 9999 minutes. They are not high resolution, but they're good enough to reveal most information. We really liked the simple Internet navigation report, which accurately displayed all the Web sites surfed.
Total Spy's very short demo period is a mere 12 uses. Still, we can easily recommend this software over many in this genre. You'll find few monitoring programs easier to install, configure, and use.

Version: Total Spy 2.7
Cons: Total Spy sucks, mainly because it doesn't hide itself properly. It even makes a start menu folder for you(for easy access?), but also gives you an option to not create that folder during installation. But why would it even have such an option?
Oh, and it also can't log URLs visited using Safari(for windows).

Version: Total Spy 2.7
Cons: I gave this program one star and I didn't even open it. Why would I do that? Because I had this program download to the Windows Guest user profile hoping that it would only log the information on the Guest account. I downloaded to a folder on the guest account desktop, installed the program, and then hid the folder and its subsequent files and went on about my day.
Just 30 minutes ago I logged into the Guest account to activate the program and see what the logs said. I hadn't even -tried- to open the program, yet -- I wasn't even in the folder yet (!) and right after it loaded the printer, right before my eyes, a pop-up appeared. Guess what it said?
"Please access TotalSpy from the administrator's account".
!!@@!! NOT SNEAKY! So, in reality, the person using the guest account saw the COMPLETELY OBVIOUS MESSAGE and my cover is blown to bits. Thanks for the warning, TotalSpy -- I really thought I would be able to install this program ANYWHERE, on ANY profile or account, and not have a single thing pop-up about it!
The solution? Get rid of the popup!
To everyone else, take this warning to heart: only install it to a desktop that has admin privileges!

Pros: Very simple but powerful spy software. The price is just only $29.95 when the other less poweful keyloggers cost > $60.
Cons: Didn't find any problems.
