Total Recorder Standard Edition is an audio-recording software program designed to record PC-audio from almost any source: streamed audio from external players (such as iTunes, RealPlayer, Windows Media Player) and Internet-telephony programs (such as Skype), sound from a microphone, and other input lines on a sound card. As opposed to the majority of recording software, Total Recorder Standard Edition directly records sound in digital format from other software sources without any conversion. Recording can be performed in any of these supported sound formats: WAV, MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, APE and FLAC. In addition to a regular recording, you can record using the built-in scheduler or an external scheduler. Total Recorder Standard Edition supports playlists in M3U, PLS and WPL formats and lets you work with file tags. The program can also be used as a converter between any of the supported formats.
Total Recorder Standard Edition supports optional add-ons that can be used to greatly improve the quality of your recordings from tape or vinyl, refine speech recordings, accomplish automatic gain control, apply an equalizer, and for other sound enhancements.

A long time used of this and I use very frequently too. Simple and innovative. Got used to the previous interface (skin) and the new one looks a bit 'odd'. That is minor and one can overcome.
