Total Recorder records streaming audio from Real Player or Windows Media Player, mic input, line-in input, DVDs or CDs. The resulting files can be saved in wav or MP3 format. Can also convert different sound formats to wav, WMA or MP3.

"DON'T BUY PRO VERSION"

Pros: The recorder works but do not buy the pro version, BIG MISTAKE the functionality of pro versions do not work as advertised!!!

Cons: FALSE ADVERTISMENT ON PRO VERSION

Version: Total Recorder Standard Edition 6

"Quit looking. This is the one."

Pros: Works as advertised, which is better than all of the freebies. No errors. Nothing to add. No extra drivers or codecs needed. Scheduler works great. I used it in tandem with Windows scheduler to have Windows Media Player open and play the stream at the specified time. Came back the next day and had my full recording. The scheduler runs in the background, so you don't have to leave the full program open to use it. I messed around with lots of others before settling on this one. If you don't have a lot of time to waste, this is the one for you.
