From High Criteria :Total Recorder records streaming audio from Real Player or Windows Media Player, mic inputs, line-in inputs, DVDs, or CDs. The resulting files can be saved in the WAV or MP3 format. You also can convert different sound formats to WAV, WMA, or MP3. Version 5.2 provides support for new features Automatic Gain Control and Speech Enhancement Add-on, support for the FLAC compression codec, and enhanced support for Skype users.
What's new in this version:
- Support for the new Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and Speech Enhancement add-on. This add-on performs a number of functions designed to enhance recording of the spoken word.
- Total Recorder now supports the FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) compression codec.
- An automatic recording level adjustment that will attempt to set the optimal level for recording.
- The ability to exclude the loudest levels during normalization.
