  "Not good enough"

  Pros: None

  Cons: 1. Download it only if you want to watch movies without sounds on your pc, because once you install it your mixer will be set to total recorder mixer (as default) and you can't even change it!

  2. Well it works well at the beginning, half way of the recording it started to go silly, distortion!

  Version: Total Recorder Standard Edition 5.1

  "Oh Simplicity"

  Pros: I'm not what you would call an audiophile, so I didn't have a lot of mileage when it came to finding the "right" software to record streaming audio. I tried a few before landing on Total Recorder, and I was instantly impressed by it's simplicity. The user interface is intuitive, and it only took a few minutes to setup to record straight to MP3 (with some help from the online FAQs, of course). This is the first piece of software that I went from download to buy within an hour. At $12, it is a definite bargain!

  Cons: As I said before, I'm not an audiophile, so if there are advanced features that this software is missing, I wouldn't know-- simplicity is very important to me.

  "Excelent recorder in spite of minor flaws."

  Pros: Excellent recorder .It records very good

  to MP3 and the setting is quit easy to configure (at least for me) Because I Have

  been using it for a long time.

  Cons: 1-It does not have multi link recorder(in other words I have to wait until it finish one link to record another).

  2- Silent mode (accelerated mode) does not

  work with creative SB card so although it is checked it does not work ( at least in my computer).

  other than that it is the best I tried so far.

  "Functional & easy to use. Did the job but not w/o some hassel."

  Pros: Works great for recording sound from streaming audio. I downloaded the program and used it right away. Easy to use.

  Cons: The next time I tried to view a QT movie the sound was completley distorted. It turned out that Total Recorder had changed all of my mixer settings causing my audio to skip and click. I was able to change the settings back easily, but the problem ticked me off none the less.
