As a way of avoiding spyware and pop-ups, Torpark successfully allows you to surf the Web anonymously, although the publisher warns of possible connection slowdowns.
The self-extracting file installs quickly, and you can run it from your hard drive, or as the publisher suggests, from a jump drive. Torpark adds to your browser's toolbar a few unobtrusive buttons, which allow you to activate/deactivate the tool and configure its privacy settings according to your specifications. The tool effectively restricts pop-ups; blocks surreptitious installations of adware, spyware, and cookies; and hides any traces of your surfing. You can check the Torpark Tools menu while visiting a site and build a list of blocked items for the current page; from the same list box, you may add to a white list any or all of the displayed items.
The publisher cautions that using Torpark may slow your Internet connection speed, particularly if you're using a dial-up, but we noticed no slowdown during our tests. Torpark is free, easy to use, and suitable for all users interested in protecting their privacy while visiting Web sites.

Version: Torpark 2.9.1.2
Pros: I've been using torpark for quite a while now. I carry it on my USB Pen Drive and I use it whenever I'm on a Cyber, Hotel, etc. Wherever I need absolute anonymity.
It connects to the Tor system and uses Firefox as browser. You don't need to configure anything, just use it.
Cons: Starting Torpark sometimes takes a while and while that happens you may not see anything happening, but it is.
Browsing may be slow but that is normal in any serious anonymous system like Tor, ***...

Version: Torpark 2.9.1.2
Pros: I like what it could do if it were working the way it should, but it doesn't.
Cons: it is slow, very very slow and hangs. Some sites don't work well or not at all. The paid version would be ok but it is very expensive on a monthly basis. Can't afford that and gas for the car too.

Version: Torpark 2.9.1.2
"anoymous browsing made simple"
Pros: this changes your ip by connecting to to the tor system changing your proxy address to a different county..
this is like FF portable can be used from you thumb drive on any windows system
VERY EASY TO USE
Cons: slow to connect to tor system
when you do get connected you will notice a lot slower browsing speed then normal
XeroBank browser is better just as easy to use and you can choose what county you want your proxy address to be in..

Version: Torpark 2.9.1.2
"I like the Idea, but it's far too slow."
Pros: I like the security it gives you to hide your IP address from others on the web. That helps prevent a lot of SPAM and hacker attacks. It really does hide your IP, and I hope they will be able to speed it up.
Cons: My experience with it shows that connections with the site you want to visit are very, very slow. I have a 10 mbytes download connection, but that makes no difference. It takes a long time to get a connection, 5 minutes or more at times and many times I never get a connection because the Tor server times out.

Version: Torpark 2.9.1.2
Pros: I like that I can use it on any Windows machine I want. It can be customized just like my regular Firefox. I can run it off the Trans-flash card for my cel phone, using a portable adapter!
Cons: It's slow, takes a long time to find a proxy, and browsing is a bit slow. I have seen that happen with all proxy software, so it's to be expected.
