Publisher's description
From Nuno Fonseca :The purpose of this software is to help you acquire the ability of recognizing pitches, the so called "absolute ear" or "absolute pitch" recognition. In order to do that, it uses a very unique approach to the way we perceive individual tones (all the twelve from C to B): instead of having just twelve tones, the program deals with their correspondent sound frequencies, plus the intermediate frequencies that exist between each tone. This approach forces the user to listen very carefully to the subtle changes in pitch, and provides a way to somehow "map" the listening experience, reducing the tones to more fundamental units. Hopefully, this will bring an additional level of "order" to the somewhat diffuse boundaries that exist between two adjacent notes, making the transition between them clearer, easier to perceive, and therefore, easier to remember.
