TipTone for iPhone

TipTone is a musical instrument able to play 60 different notes in five full scales. Notes are played by pressing one or more buttons simultaneously. The original toy is out of production, but now you can enjoy this game on your iPhone!

The seven main notes (A, B, C, D, E, F, G) are generated by combining the three blue buttons on the right of the screen. The bottom blue button raises any tone by one note, the middle by two notes, and the top by four notes.

The green button raises any of the previous combinations by a half-note, providing the middle notes to complete the scale.

The yellow buttons raise or lower any of the previous combinations by one or two octaves. Yellow buttons work in three different ways, according to the Scale Control option you select on the Settings tab.

The best way to learn is to practice! TipTone is lots of fun. A variety of well known tunes are included for you to follow and practice. Select a practice tune to illuminate each combination in red; once you press a note, the next one lights up.
