Publisher's description
From Tiny Software :Tiny Personal Firewall integrates several protection layers for the ultimate safety of the desktop and server. Traditional Firewall blocks the network traffic based on protocol, ports, and application. Intrusion Detection and Prevention blocks the network traffic based on the content of packets. Malicious packet content is frequently used by hackers exploiting vulnerabilities of otherwise trusted applications, such as Windows kernel components, IIS and others. Application Security controls the behavior of applications and controls whether the application may start itself or whether it may start others.
Also limited are accesses to specific internal resources such as hard disk, CD-ROM, and system. Files and system protection protects your valuable data against to damage by other untrusted programs or by trusted programs run by untrusted users. Version 6.0 adds Track'n Reverse feature, and new look and design.

Version: Tiny Personal Firewall 6.0
Pros: Good interface, and fast. If you didn't like Zone Alarm try this one, maybe easy.
Cons: It just didn't work out whit some tests...

Version: Tiny Personal Firewall 6.0
"What a Great product - this puppy protects every resource"
Pros: Whats great is the small footprint and modular design. This puppy gives you control over what files, folders, registry keys, devices, services, and processes a application has access to. You can prevent your browser or other applications from reading or transmitting sensitive data
or killing processes and services or injecting code into trusted applications or starting other programs and DLLs. No other product offers this level of control and I did'nt even mention everything it does
Cons: None. just what of the internets best kept secrets that I wish I had found sooner

Version: Tiny Personal Firewall 6.0
Pros: TPF knows most windows processes and is ready for your approval. It can catch any program that uses a folder, registry, another program, or spawns. It can kill a budding adware or virus from the moment it starts! Outstanding protection and an install mode for adding new programs. Great backdoor rules and monitor allows you to see every action that is happening.
Cons: Definately not for a novice. There are options upon options that are hard to understand with little help on what they all do. The program lags within these menus as well. While it can easily stop any intrusion (and surpasses all tests), it cannot contain a problem if installed after an intrusion (the program itself will be hijacked), something that freeware like zonealarm CAN do.

Version: Tiny Personal Firewall 6.0
Pros: In my quest to find a good replacement firewall for the one I use now in wingate I have tested numerous firewalls, Tiny firewalls did impress me the most, this client firewall is easy to use as it does most of the work for you and still gives good protection while it allows services to run without problems, for the average PC user who does not want the hassle of making rules this is the best choice.
Cons: Although this is one of the best firewalls I have come across I wish that Tiny in the quest to make a user friendly firewall left the option to edit the rules, I have high hopes for the server version.
