The Bat is an email application that features support for multiple POP accounts, true multithreading, MIME and UUencode standards, message notification, PGP support, APOP authorization, message sorting, message templates, minimization to the system tray, and multimedia support. You also will find a fast and comfortable message editor with text highlighting, as well as a mail dispatcher for managing messages on the servers. This is an internationally versatile program: English, Russian, German, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Italian, Lithuanian, and Romanian interfaces are built in, as is a multilingual spelling checker. Other features include automatic Dial-Up Networking (which is configurable for multiple accounts), an Account Creation wizard, and the ability to add a photo for each address book entry. You can also view HTML messages, use multiple templates for one message as you type it, exclude certain messages from the MailTicker, and search a folder by typing the first character of its name. This latest version includes an improved filterig system, support for two-byte eastern languages, and minor bug fixes. This download is a 30-day trial. You may register The Bat for $35.
