The Bat is an email application that supports multiple POP accounts, multithreading, MIME and UUencode standards, multimedia, APOP authorization, and PGP, and features message notification, message sorting, message templates, and minimization to the system tray. You also will find a fast and comfortable message editor with text highlighting, as well as a mail dispatcher for managing messages on servers. English, Russian, German, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Italian, Lithuanian, and Romanian interfaces are built in, as is a multilingual spelling checker.

Other features include automatic Dial-Up Networking (which is configurable for multiple accounts), an Account Creation Wizard, and the option to include a photo with each address book entry. You can also view HTML messages, use multiple templates as you type a message, exclude certain messages from the MailTicker, and search a folder by typing the first character of its name. This version includes an improved filtering system, support for 2-byte Eastern languages, new macros, an updated help file, and improved Dial-Up Networking support. This download is a 30-day trial. You may register the Bat for $25.
