The application's other features include automatic dial-up networking (configurable for multiple accounts) and the option to include a photo with each address-book entry. There also are enhancements, such as message coloring, flagging, advanced filtering, speed improvements, and virus protection.
New in release 3.5 is a fully customizable user interface, on-the-fly-encryption, biometric authentication, scheduler action in filters, macros in filter actions, grouping by date/sender/recipient, support of simultaneous IMAP connections, and various bugfixes.

Version: The Bat (Professional Edition) 3.5
Pros: It has a very customizable interface, and fast fetching of mail is also present. The BayesIT spam filter is good too. The main program itself is very customizable. It is quite easy to use, and is very feature-rich. Get it now!
Cons: I can't say much for the support. Everytime I e-mail them they don't reply; and I am a paying customer. I am using this with Thunderbird (I know you are not supposed to use two mail clients, but I like them both!). But currently I am having problems with both using Y! Mail. It kept saying that logging in failed. Even TBird. What is happening? Does anyone know a solution to this? Thnx!

Version: The Bat (Professional Edition) 3.5
Pros: Just one sentence can state the pros: Everything a professional or business e-mail user needs. Templates, Quick Templates, Submission forms, macros, very fast, the most flexible filters ever seen, the most sophisticated search feature, virtual folders, selective download with preview, import, export, back-up, and, and , and.
I was a "The Bat! user" since 1999 but dropped it when Version 3.01 was released in 2004 because this was a mess and the upgrade policy was very annoying. I reviewed 3.01 with 1 star. Up to Version 2.12 and now, starting with 3.5.25, it again deserves a 5-star rating and nothing less.
Cons: None whatsoever - just minor inconveniences that are maybe advantages for someone else.

Version: The Bat (Professional Edition) 3.5
"An email program for power users"
Pros: The Bat is a highly stable, powerful email program that has become my client of choice after having tried nearlly all the alternatives, including Pegasus, Eudora, Thunderbird, PocoMail, Barca, Opera M2, etc. Importing addresses and emails from previous clients was a breeze; The Bat works very quickly and has a clean, neat interface. It has PGP encryption built-in, if you want to use it. And it searches very quickly, even through the 45,000 emails I now have imported. If you get hundreds of emails per day, as I do, this is one of the best choices you can make.
Cons: Unlike Thunderbird, Opera M2, Eudora, and Pegasus, it costs money.

Version: The Bat (Professional Edition) 3.5
Pros: Great interface, clean and functional, icons are set nicely. works well
Cons: no support for embeded HTML, that really hurts, pretty much deal breaker for me.
Price is little high for Home edition.
have heard nasty things about customer support. or lack of it...
