Version: TextAloud 2.064
"It has been cut close to pefection"
Pros: Excellent program, i have used other text to speech, but i think texaloud does a good job,
they have Add-on for IE,Firefox, and Outlook you can directly play from the app without the need to copy/paste. spoken words are highlighted if you choose LH Michael
Cons: Small Bugs, there and there. for instance.
On firefox you can't choose read from cursor, but in I.E you can. On Firefox and Outlook spoken words are not highlited as it reads.
TexAloud does not have forward/rewind buttons

Version: TextAloud 2.064
"Super tool for college students"
Pros: This program greatly simplifies proofreading and reading hard to read articles such as technical and legal documents, as well as the fine print. If you have a scanner and a text recognition program, you can scan handouts and sections out of textbooks, run the text recognition program, and have TA read it to you. This really comes in handy when you are tired, bored, or just can't focus. If you are in a hurry, you can have TA convert it to an MP3 and listen to it on your MP3 player while doing something else, a plus for multi-taskers.
Cons: The price tag. I'd say $30 is a little much for this. Other than that, a few minor performance issues. For example, the Internet Explorer toolbar doesn't work very well on complex web pages, and the Firefox toolbar is not compatible with the most recent version of Firefox.

Version: TextAloud 2.064
Pros: Having tried several other text to speech programs - this is one of the best sounding, best value for money text to speech applications, with a variety of features, hot key support, text to mp3 support, explorer plugin.
Cons: I found a few minor issues with the program which the makers were very helpful with in addressing.
