Pros
The program copies Gigas of files faster in tens times than usual Windows copy.
Cons
Sometimes, the program can't copy 1 file from thousands of the transferred files and this 1 file remains on the previous place.

It retains folder dates! Very useful when copying a large amount of stuff from one drive to another, so that all the new folders keep the original dates instead of being today's date. Only very few programs seem to have that ability.
Cons
Slightly messy interface when it comes to setting options, or to turn it on or off. (Normally it takes over for all Copy operations, but one can also set it up as just one option in the right click menu for files in Explorer.)

- TeraCopy can be set up to CRC check copied files
- I often move large amounts of files from different sources to one or more destinations. Doing this with windows end with a mess since all the copy processes slow down each other - not so with teracopy - it qeues all pending operations from or to the same destination so they are each processed with full speed.
- You can add files to an already running copy task by simply dropping them on the teracopy process window
- you can shut down the pc or auto eject a drive after the process is finished - very useful when moving large amounts of data over a rather slow network connection before going to sleep...
- Easy to use, integrates seamless into windows (unlike e.g. FastCopy, which is said to be faster)Cons
Others are (said to be) faster, but thats not really a point in times of SSD.

Very useful program, especially to overcome the sluggish Windows 7 copy handler and for people whishing to move around a lot of files in a safe way.

Pros
Watching the transfer, and a list of any errors that occured during the transfer,are both interesting and extremely useful. I find this much easier to use than the normal windows file move option.
Cons
Regardless of the specs I do not believe the transfers are any faster; however, the the other points more than make up for this.

Why would anyone NOT want to know about their file transfer errors, especially for free?

"Continuous file copy with error reports"

Pros
I needed to copy files from a CD that errors on it. TerraCopy was able to copy as much as possible and then give me a list of the files that wouldn't come off. It did exactly what I wanted it do to.

The interface is a little small and basic but that's just cosmetic, no drama
