"Using Tarma has ended all Email reporting install problems."
Pros: I've spent the last 15 years dealing with flaws in InstallShield Express. Each version appeared to have problems with some percentage of users. I finally got fed up and spent the time to find a replacement. A comparison chart on a competitors web site showed Tarma was actually the least expense so I checked it out.
When I discovered a problem in the way I wanted to use a custom action I wrote to Tarma and immediately received a personal response and help which included a new build to resolve the problem.
Tarma QuickInstall provides all the custom features I needed without having to write any kind of code or script. Multiple languages are included and Tarma even provided me a copy of the .rc file to create a language that wasn't support.
The simple interface allowed me to learn how to use all the power of Tarma in one evening The build process even allows me to sign my exe saving me an extra step.
Since switching to Tarma, Jan 2007, I haven't had a single Email problem report because of setup or uninstall problems. Not bad considering our WinPatrol program has already had over a million downloads just here on Download.com. That doesn't even include our website and others.
