TafkaR (The application formerly known as RuMPsucker) is a small utility to download whole albums from emusic (www.emusic.com). Windows and Linux users had this for longer with FreeAmp or the Windows version of the REALplayer.Now Mac owners can enjoy the same leeching.
Please set your filename preferences to "tracknumber-trackname.mp3". You can do that at: https://secure.emusic.com/secure/track_namer.html
Other settings result in longer filenames. Up to mac OS 9 and Classic, the Mac has a maximum filename length of 32 characters. If you prepend album and artist, the filename will be cut off. That will result in duplicate filenames and the files overwriting each other.

What's new in this version:

  • Fixed a bug in the download routines that garbled the ID3 Tags.
  • Added an experimantal preference to add the downloaded track to itunes.
