Can tabbed browsing with Firefox get any better? You bet it can. Tabbrowser Preferences is one of several Firefox extensions that make tabs more powerful and easier to use. We had a bit of trouble finding the options to get started; it turns out the extension adds its own tab to the Firefox preferences menu. Tabbrowser Preferences' most useful feature is one that lets you choose where to load pages opened by typing in the address bar, by using the Search Bar, and by clicking internal and external links (the latter being links that point to other sites). The extension also enables several shortcuts. For example, you can close tabs just by middle-clicking them and select a tab by just moving mouse over it. Tabbrowser Extensions does a decent job as far as it goes, but it's neither the most full-featured nor the most polished extension in this category. Give Tabbrowser Preferences a look, but be sure to try the others too.

This extension is an enhancement for the basic tab controls provided in Firefox 1. It replaces the existing user interface with a new, more visible user interface, and also includes UI for other hidden features that are part of the browser, as well as features provided explicitly by the extension.
