The database publishing tool, TCP/IP XT, consists of two parts: an XTensions module for QuarkXPress and a programme instruction set. Any TCP/IP network user (e.g. Internet) can log in on QuarkXPress including TCP/IP XT.
Accompanying programme commands are based on Techno Design’s XT Batch technology. Use this scripting language plus specific XT Batch codes to activate any QuarkXPress operation. Provide data from your database with these commands and forward them to a QuarkXPress software package including TCP/IT XT, to automatically create complete QuarkXPress documents!
The TCP/IP XT also offers the possibility to retrieve data from laid out pages and subsequently save this information in a database, thus ensuring automatic updates of last-minute corrections. Via TCP/IP, the sky is the limit and sites no longer matterz. Commands can be given from any standard programme environment (e.g. Perl, Visual Basic, Real Basic and Ektos) on any kind of computer platform.
QuarkXPress including TCP/IP XT can be managed, anywhere in the world, with any kind of computer!
