As with any machine, your PC needs regular tune-ups to maintain peak performance. This virtual toolbox can enhance the speed, safety, and power of your computer with a wide range of functions and an extensive help system.
System Mechanic performs cleanup, optimization, and privacy protection with equal agility. As with similar tune-up utilities, it enables you to clean up your registry, remove junk files, and customize hidden settings to improve performance. The app has additional tools for removing spyware and for defragmenting your hard drive, eliminating the need for multiple utility programs. There is an undo function that restores your system to its previous state, but its hidden in the SafetyNet tab and doesn't allow you to bring back one item at a time. The program also lacks a system profiler.
The bottom line, however, is that System Mechanic is one of the most complete, effective, and easy-to-use tune-up utilities we've seen to date.

Pros: Lots of features
Relatively easy to useCons: There's no excitement to it. It's just a functional piece of software.
It's a bit too pricey. I think they should have marketed this for $19.99... not $49.99Summary: I will not purchase the software once the trial expires.

Pros: has very useful tools, does a quick anylize and then fixes the problems on your computer, sometimes defrags your computer when you turn it on, automatic updates, etc...

"Worst system mechanic ever - total rip off"
Pros: System Mechanic used to have a good name
Cons: The program fails to load or operate properly, has issues running with Vista Business, updates might fix one problem but the next will create an other. Support from Iolo is non exisitent, i have had to uninstall and reinstall over 15 times in a month

"9.0 IS VERY POOR, CUSTOMER/TECH SUPPORT VERY POOR"
Pros: I DON'T LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT 9.0 AND YOU CANNOT UNINSTALL IT WITHOUT LEAVING IT'S JUNK BEHIND. MY COMPUTER KEEPS REBOOTING AND IT HAS CAUSED HAVOC. THEY WILL NOT CREDIT MY ACCOUNT
