Publisher's Description
From Codeorigin:
Secure File Transfer Automation and Synchronization program with support for FTP, SFTP and FTPS. Both simple and complicated file transfer sequences can be easily automated. It has many useful features such as transfer status monitoring, e-mail notification, file (de)compression, task scheduling, FTP scripting, public key authentication, client side SSL certificates and detailed log files.
Sysax FTP Automation is much more than a direct drop-in replacement for the Windows console FTP program. The program has its own scheduler that runs as a native NT service. The program has an integrated script development and debugging environment. The program also has a script generation wizard that generates complete scripts that can later be fine tuned and debugged. Sysax FTP Automation is a complete and affordable solution for securely automating file transfers. Version 4.12 is a bug fixing release.

"Last time..."
Version: Sysax FTP Automation Suite 4.10
Pros
Great software, once they got the bugs out.
Cons
I will tell them what I don't like. Odds are they will fix it. I'm impressed!

"Me again..."
Version: Sysax FTP Automation Suite 4.10
Pros
I promised I would give these people five stars if they would write the scripts I needed. They not only did that, but fixed the bugs in their script generator. Since there is apparently no option to edit our original reviews, I'm fudging a little to give them the rating they deserve.
Cons
I'm liking less and less about it. The more features I suggest, the more they seem to add or fix.

"I was too quick to condemn..."
Version: Sysax FTP Automation Suite 4.10
Pros
The developers are apparently very accomplished at writing scripts, but were unaware that their GUI script generator had some major problems. They were kind enough to to write the scripts I needed (with several revisions) and also revised their software several times to fix problems with the GUI. Now I not only have the working scripts they wrote for me at no charge (still using the trial version), but the script generator actually works. Anyone can write their own FTP automation scripts without any knowledge of scripting and then use the included Sysax scheduler that runs in the background as a Windows service to schedule their FTP tasks. I take back the one star rating and give them five stars, although they are still working on some minor improvements to the GUI. The technical support team deserves 10 stars!
Cons
There is not a lot in the way of help files for using the script generator, but that has been brought to their attention and they have been extremely responsive to my requests for improvements to the GUI, so I'm guessing that they will soon revise the software yet again with help files for people who know nothing about scripting. As already indicated, I was very impressed with the Sysax techical support team and their developers' willingness to make improvements to the software.

"Don't Waste Your Time"
Version: Sysax FTP Automation Suite 4.10
Pros
At first glance, this looked like the perfect solution to my problem of getting files to and from clients without using synchronization software and all the risks that involves. The software looks like it was professionally designed and nothing was left to chance.
Cons
The problem is that it doesn't work. The support people tell you they are looking at the script generated by the script wizard, but they never get back to you with any helpful information. I've spent several days now trying to make an automation script for uploading files at preset intervals. Earlier today I got a message saying that the syntax I used for the wildcard match was wrong and that they would get back to me "shortly" with the correct syntax. That was four or five hours ago. The PDF manual is practically useless, unless you are doing the scripting manually. No information at all about how to use a wildcard match in the script wizard. I have lost my patience and if I don't hear back from them soon I'm going to uninstall and find a solution that actually works.
