"Excellent for non-smart phones."
Version: SyncCell 3.3.03
Pros
This is the best and easiest software for use with non-smart phone for backing up and syncing contacts, calendars and notes.
Cons
The price is a little steep for end users you usually need it for single use.

"Nice idea, poor implementation"
Version: SyncCell 3.3.03
Pros
Purports to support Lotus Notes two-way sync.
Cons
Does a poor job of two-way sync with Notes. The only thing that sync's FROM android/gmail is new calendar entries. Changes on the phone are ignored and when there is a conflict, Notes always wins (even if the phone update is newer). Contact changes on the phone are simply ignored, consider it simply a one-way sync - i.e. replacement.
Summary
It costs $25, and there's no free trial. Bought it based on email correspondence with the company and assurance of its capabilities, which were a shade optimistic. Once bought I never heard back from them on any emails.
GOOD NEWS!! There is a great - at least as of this writing - alternative for Notes users. Check out awesync!! And at $20 its cheaper than synccell. -
"Impressive, easy, fast & accurate"
Version: SyncCell 3.3.02
Pros
Unlike most shareware I have tested, the trial version has all the full features of the paid version, hence one is well able to evaluate the product. It is very easy to use, faster and more accurate than comparable products I have tried.
Cons
There is no option to select all in the data transfer window. I literally have to check each contact. This was no big deal since I only had 87 contacts to transfer.
Summary
Highly recommended. Unlike the 1st reviewer above, I had no problem using this product. I have been scanning the internet for a cheap or free software to transfer date to my Motorola Rizer & have tried a couple of shareware, all of which have limited functionality, so I couldn't fully evaluate them. Surprisingly, this one did in less than 5 minutes what I have spent over a week trying to do with other products, & I was able to fully transfer all my contacts from Thunderbird to my phone. I gave it 4 star because I have only tested one aspect of the software & in part because of the price tag for the paid version. Nevertheless, 14 days of free trial without any restriction is more than enough for me to do what I want to do & decide whether or not to buy the product. For this reason, I think it deserves 4.5 out of 5, but I don't know how to give that rating. Bottom-line: I think it is a very reliable & useful product & if the price could be reduced to about $15.00, I would be willing to buy it- I am not a professional & not fully into data or information management. The price may well worth it for business people, professionals & heavy users.
UPDATE: I meant to add the price tag of $24.99 as a con. Sorry for the omission.

"Demo does not work and will not install."
Version: SyncCell 3.3.02
Pros
None that I can see.
Cons
Doubles and triples dates. Puts in phantom characters. Will not de-install. Home page has "links" for uninstall, but they have nothing to do with uninstall. Effectively spamware.
Summary
Danger! Malware. Uninsstallable, despite multiple uninstall programs. This should not be on this site!!!!

"Supposed to sync phone to Outlook"
Version: SyncCell 3.1.11
Pros
Never found out
Cons
They bill it as free, but once you finish the install, they make you complete "one offer" to get it for free.
Summary
Do not download unless you want to waste your time

"1 star out of 5, because it only works 20% of the time"
Version: SyncCell 3.1.08
Pros
The 20% of the time that it works it successfully manages to sync my Outlook Calendar with my Droid X.
Cons
The 80% of the time that it doesn't work the message "A problem occurred while attempting to communicate with Microsoft Outlook" appears... plus the connection test they tell to use in such a case always fails to connect, as well.
Summary
I'd pay $5 for this program, since it works only 20% of the time. I have a hard time paying $25 considering that the other 80% of the time it's useless. I did everything the instructions said to resolve the Outlook problem. I've rebooted over, and over and over again... I've run the registry fix file they tell you to run and rebooted after doing that... no dice. Then I went and completely uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Outlook hoping that would fix the problem. Still no dice. 80% of the time I try to use it this software refuses to "talk" with Outlook and remains that way for several reboots until it "mysteriously" decides that it feels like working a few hours and then fails again. My email to the developer about the above problems remains unanswered. This could be a great utility and worth the $25... if it worked.

"Crippleware"
Version: SyncCell 3.1.07
Pros
One of the few apps that can actually retrieve a Moto V3xx phonebook.
Cons
Most all features are disabled or view-only unless you pay for the full version.
Summary
Why bother releasing a product on a shareware site unless it has at least *some* useful functionality as a free product. Just go right out and make it available only to paid customers and get rid of the tease of freeware/shareware.

"NOT FREE! Not even a free trial."
Version: SyncCell 2.3.26
Pros
None - DId not work
Cons
Wasted my time and downloaded for nothing. Requires a software key that you have to pay for or sign up for subscriptions & subsequently pay but they don't tell you that until after you go through the download process.
Summary
Now I have to figure out how to get their menu bar off of my Internet Explorer which I did not approve for installation. Be aware! So wrong. I thought I could trust cnet but I guess not.

Too convuluted. Makes you go through too many steps and not very user friendly.
Summary
If you are desperate for an app to maintain your cell phone files, try getting it somewhere else!
