This straightforward backup utility makes it a snap to safeguard and synchronize your files, and its freeware price just sweetens the deal. Surprisingly flexible for a free program, SyncBack can save your files anywhere: on external hard drives, in ZIP archives, on network drives, on CDs (using UDF), or transfer them via FTP. Recovering from a drive loss is also cinch, with a convenient restore tool that replicates folder trees along with the files in them.
It lets you define multiple scheduled backup jobs so you can just set 'em and forget 'em, allowing users to create specific backup jobs for certain folders or file types. You can control the way files are compared and selected for backup: the program comes with ready-made profiles to make the process as easy as possible. It's hard not to like that SyncBack doesn't use many system resources when working in the background, and backups can be set to export their logs to an HTML file for easy viewing. All in all, it's an excellent choice for home users and small businesses.

"Outstanding synchronization and backup/restore program. And it's free."
Pros: Reliable, fast, simple to use and yet powerful to satisfy demanding users. How can such an excellent product be a freeware? I use it everyday and everywhere, be it at home or at work. I just can't imagine living without it. The program is just perfect for synchronizing my flash drive. I feel safe to know Syncback is silently running in background and continuously making safe copies of all my work.

Version: SyncBack 3.2.8.40
"The best freeware backup program you'll find"
Pros: I've used SyncBack since V2, and have seen the program grow to becoming the best backup freeware out there. Go get it now, you won't be disappointed.
The Easy and Expert modes make it a snap to use, and there are many, many different ways you can set your backup or synchronization to work. The support is also very good as the freeware ships with a help file, and the developers site has a solid support area and forum. If you need a reliable backup solution (and we all do), this program won't fail you.

Version: SyncBack 3.2.8.40
"Excellent for a FREE product."
Pros: Fast, good, it does what it says it does. It handles the process of mirroring my data from various HD's and folders to a single external HD. It has so many configurations that I can make it to do what I want. You'll love the Easy and Expert Mode.
Cons: It has so many configs, that sometimes it takes a little bit long to configure. But you'll get use to it.

Version: SyncBack 3.2.8.40
"Fantastic Program.......fast, easy, and pretty flexible. Great for IPod or FOB"
Pros: This program allows me to use my IPod as a portable hard-drive for data files in such a way that I can make sure that my desktop and my two laptops are always in sync with the files that I carry between them.
It has the flexibility so that the user can setup different directories to be synced individually, but also has the ease of grouping them together so that the user can quickly sync many of these at one shot.
I also like the 'simulation' you can run to make a new user feel better that the sync will work as he wants it to before actually running the sync.
Lastly, the configuration options so that one can either choose to confirm the differences before a sync occurs, or opt for the faster single-click method where the sync occurs without user verifying the file differences, is fantastic.
Cons: I can't find a single con.
