Whatever IDE you use, or even if you use just a simple text editor for your Java programming, you will find the GUI Designer an invaluable tool to have at hand. The GUI Designer is very small (under 100 Kbytes) so fast, but also surprisingly powerful and versatile. Uses Layout Managers. Allows grouping of components using the containers JPanel, JSplitPane and JTabbedPane. Components that can be added include JTree and JTable, as well as nearly all simpler components. Cut and paste any component or container (including all child components). Adjust preferred sizes at will.
