• System won't shut down when it's open

  This is for version 2.306, which I've been using for personal stuff and a home business for several months now. The free version has some limitations; the only one I've noticed is 30 tasks per folder, but that hasn't been a big deal to me since I don't have that many active tasks and I can just delete completed ones. (If you do need to keep those tasks you can move them to a different folder.) In fact, the only issue I had with it until recently was not being able to see all the tasks at once because of the way they get organized into folders; as with an email program, you can see only one folder at a time. I think this wouldn't be good for people trying to use this program for project management. Lately, though, a bigger problem has developed. If the program is open when I try to turn the computer off the whole process just stops because Windows can't shut it down; instead, one of those "can't shut To-Do List Lite down, do you want to do it manually?" messages pops up. And when I click "Yes" a "program not responding" message appears. What this means is that I have to remember to close the To-Do list before I turn the computer off, and since I rarely remember that I usually just don't keep it open - which makes it not very useful to me. I was going to just remove and reinstall it to see if that fixed the problem, but thought it would be worth checking here to see if there's a new version. There is, so perhaps this issue has been resolved. I just thought it was worth mentioning this here in case it hadn't.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Aug 26, 2012<p/>UPDATE: I have now had 2.67 running for almost 2 weeks and it has the same problem as the earlier version - if it's open when I shut the computer down the shutdown process just stops because it can't close the To-Do List. I do have a clue - when I manually close it a message flashes on my screen saying it's doing maintenance. It's only up for a second but I think that may be what's holding up the shutdown process. But since I don't know how to fix that I'm going to look for a replacement.

• Not for someone who needs to stay organized

  I found nothing redeeming about this program.

  Cons

  First, while it allows for recurring tasks you can't see future recurring tasks without changing views --- you can't see everything at once. Second, it couldn't import from Outlook. The process was convoluted and the program crashed every time no matter what I tried.

  Summary

  Terrible, simply terrible. I wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work.

  Easy access and comfortable user friendly settings that allow anyone to instantly organize there lifestyle in one great location.

  The only negative thing I personally found about this product is " WHAT IN THE WORLD TOOK YOU SO LONG TO COME OUT WITH SOMETHING LIKE THIS? lol Besides that, i can't really think of any other major issues.

  Summary

  I found this software to standout from the rest of "generic" to do list software programs that well, are a "good start." If you just have too much going on in your life and need a really sweet looking program that will fully organize everything for you. So that you never have to worry anymore about forgetting anything. "Then you just have to try this."

  I had one very important to do about sending a file to someone before sending it to someone else. Now I don't know who is first to review and approve. This kind of thing can cost me my job.

• Easy to use, lots of choices

  Pros

  You can make many lists, nest them together. In each task, you can set priorities and deadlines, enter notes, move easily with drag and drop.

  Cons

  The trial is limited to something like 20 items in each to-do list (but you can make many lists).

  I have been using for over a year on XP. Never any problems. Does it all for me.

  Pros

  I have been using it about a year now. As a homemaker, and a parent, i put my to dos, errands, ideas and so on.... on the trees and sub trees assign name &#38; design. I love the fact that it also has notes for each todos. And also reminders.

  Cons

  Can't use it with/on the web too!!!!!! I don't think I can transfer it to cds or flash cards either.

  Summary

  Does way to much job for free software!!! Love the ease of use and also the simplicity.The other great thing is also that it has color coding for task priorities. Love it, love it so much !!

  You can not have more than 15 to-do list!!! and it is very expensive, $50 dlls!!! It is too much for the program.

  This is great for someone that needs a reminder for things like appointments, things that do not recur.

  Cons

  No options for recurring tasks/appts i.e. bdays,anniversaries, bills, etc. You would have to enter each manually and individually.
