  I've tested dozens of note taking tools and AcuteNotes is one of the best for two reasons: 1) the interface is clear, without bells and whistles, and everything can be done with keyboard shortcuts 2) the "multiview" is an unique feature : you select multiple items in the note tree and AcuteNotes automatically write down the content of each selected notes in the text view, while you can still edit them (but not re-order them in this mode, unfortunately) On the bad side, you can't add hyperlinks to notes, neither http nor internal (note-to-note) links. If you look for a full-featured Personnal Information Manager (PIM), I'd recommend rather texnotes, while the best tools which handle note-to-note links is TreePad. AcuteNotes is simply the best tool for quick note taking, but don't ask him more than that.
