  "nice handy program"

  Pros: real free, no expiration, and I also do not notice any embedded advertisement program so far.

  The program is stable and the UI is nice.

  Cons: Not support network camera.

  Not support audio capture.

  Version: SurveillizCam Lite 1.16

  "Great and Very Useful Free Version"

  Pros: SurveillizCam Lite can easily and effectively monitor your home by detecting motion and logging surveillance video into AVI files (so you can watch them later on). Although this is only the free, Lite version of the programme, it still has many useful features such as masking particular areas for motion detection so when there is abnormal motion in the place your monitoring you will be notified via an alarm (which you can select a sound for) or live video online. You can also configure the programme to automatically record motion detection only into an AVI file. All logged videos can be played back with Windows Media Player or SurveillizCam's video playback. This programme is excellant for catching that person sneeking into your room and pinching money out your penny jar, or keeping surveillance in your house while your out so if someone breaks in you have it all on camera and all without them knowing about it!

  By the way just to confirm, the Lite version is completely free. Although when I first installed the Lite version I noticed, much to my disappointment, that in the licensing agreement it had a paragraph about it being a 15 day trial so presumed I had maybe downloaded the wrong version by mistake or it's a dodgy link. I tried downloading from alternate download sites yet it still mentioned this 15 day trial thing in the licensing agreement and I started to thing that the guy who said it wasn't free in his review was right. But I eventually decided to just install it anyway and see, it then came up with a splash screen confirming that it was infact the completely FREE Lite version and there is no time restrictions on it or trials or anything. Still don't know why it mentioned it in the liscening agreement but maybe that's what made the other guy said in his review that it wasn't free as I also thought that at first until I installed it. So I was very pleased about that as I really needed a surveillance programme like this, and one which you don't have to pay for, and this basically does the job!

  Cons: Since this is the free version it obviously doesn't include a lot of the features that the full version does such as multiple channels so you can watch several different places at once, remote and central monitoring support and a schedular but it basically does the job. Especially if you only require one channel anyway, say, if you just want your webcam to watch your house or room while your out. It's also particularly useful to catch people in the act such as catching the person who keeps smashing your windows on camera if you have your webcam positioned at a window. Well I suppose I'm getting into the pros again of this handy little free version of the software so I suppose there aren't many cons, not that I've came across yet anyway.

  "very good program, and is really free"

  Pros: good program to let me record who was my room when I am out. And it's free. There is a guy saying it's not free may have installed the trial version. The trial version is a 15-days trial and this version (Lite) is really free.

  "It's 100% freeware"

  Pros: very great freeware that I have been using it for a month. Don't know why there is someone keep saying it not free. It's 100% free. Try it or you miss a great freeware.

  "Not truly free, and not without limitations!"

  Pros: In my opinion this is a great attempt at conning people into installing 3rd party adware onto their computer.

  Cons: This piece of software is listed as being FREE and having NO LIMITATIONS. Unfortunately after the download is complete and you attempt to start the installation, you quickly find out you have been lied to. I started to install the "FREE" version, and NOT the trial version. I then found out that in order to install the "FREE" version, you must first agree to install 3rd party advertising software. AND if you ever uninstall the advertising software, you will no longer be able to use the "FREE" version. So whats the problem with installing 3rd party advertising software? It takes up more disk-space, eats into memory performance, can often use more of your bandwidth, and usually produces those annoying POP-UPS on your screen! Thats how advertising software (otherwise known as adware) works! While the download didn't cost me money, it cost me time! In my opinion this is false advertising!
