This free utility transforms your digital photos into wide-screen, 360-degree panoramas. We can't argue with SurroundPhoto's interface, which is basically a step-by-step wizard wrapped in an attractive, brushed-metal design. After choosing your photo, you select the center point; adjust brightness, saturation, contrast, and sharpness; and the app quickly converts your shot into a panoramic still or QuickTime movie. When creating the latter, you can set the width and height; adjust the zoom, pan, and tilt; and choose the quality of your movie. However, you may want to spend some time playing with the settings for both still photos and videos, as some of our panoramas came out looking less-than-ideal when we first started using SurroundPhoto. Still, since it is free and easy to use, we don't see why most digital photographers shouldn't add this app to their arsenals.Publisher's description

Version: SurroundPhoto 3.0
"Use it next to already created panorama pictures or for web export"
Pros: Got some basic features to edit simple images (but you must create a panorama-like picture anyway /80% sure for simple images/). But even if you don't have a panorama picture, you can make some funny ones: in this case, you have to specify the middle point of the picture (middle on a panorama image /smile/).
The QuickTime based VR is an easy to use format on the Internet - however, you need Apple's QuickTime for this (both you and your user). You can even generate the html file for the file which includes the embeding code. This might come in handy for people, who wants to sell their home (room picture), etc.
Cons: Actually, this program is only good for correcting your pictures or to export it to a QuickTime format (is this 3 or 2 stars?).
Found an online help at VR intracive's website (not at this program's site, which isn't accessable): the attached offline help - in PDF format, click on HELP at the program - contains the user manual, which is not right in some points. Example: you don't need a digital camera or transfering software. I strongly suggest a new, different help for this application.
The cropping feature is only available from the bottom and top image parts.
At QT createing, I wonder what are the benefits of the codecs at Compression,
and why the Correction feature didn't work very well. I'd imagine better numbers for the size numbers at Dimensions (maybe a calculated one from the image).
No link for uninstaller/help.

Pros: Easy to use
Cons: What does this program do? I loaded a photo and it just warped it beyond recognition. Useless.

Version: SurroundPhoto 3.0
Pros: It's free!!!! A child could figure this product out just open a panaramic pic in the program and presto done.
Cons: A panaramic picture must be imported. This reqires a stiching program. HP has one in its photo suite.

"Does what it has to do in a perfect way"
Pros: At last I could make in an easy way a rotatable picture from the photo's I made long ago for this purpuse.
The pictures I had alrady stich together but this program made a real surround view easy to view with the Quicktime player.
My copliments for the easy structure of the programm, you don't have to be an expert to use it.
Cons: Would like it better If the creator shows what codec he uses so it could be played in other movie players to

"Low on capabilities, not worth effort of trying."
Pros: Has convex vs. concave image selection. Ability to to brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness in application.
Cons: It doesn't create a panorama image for you, you have to have existing picture from a device or other application. Supposed to create a .mov file, but mine didn't rotate for me. In end, it didn't do anything.
