This application performs quick reboot and shutdown operations, although they already can be performed elsewhere on your computer. The program is nothing more than two easy-to-understand shortcut icons that are displayed on your desktop after installation. SuperFast Shutdown performs an instant restart or shutdown with a click of its corresponding icon, although it doesn't prompt the user to save open files. Install is easy, but it's packaged as a ZIP file with no help or read-me files. Though this freeware offers nothing new, any user will find it useful for quick reboot or shutdown procedures.Publisher's description
From WareSoft Software :Superfast Shutdown enables you to shutdown your Windows 2000/XP/2003 machine almost instantly. Just install Super Fast Shutdown and click on one of the desktop icons created to reboot or shutdown instantly.

Version: SuperFast Shutdown 1
"Perfect if you ever need to rapidly shutdown or restart your system."
Pros: It's very fast. Just double click the icon and almost instantly, your computer is off. Incredibly usefull, especially if you shouldn't be using the computer.
Cons: I would only recomend using this in emergencies, as it doesn't end active processes, so it must force a shutdown, which isn't something you want to be doing, if you can avoid it.

Version: SuperFast Shutdown 1
Pros: Man this thing flies. It's like a reverse rocket launcher. Files include Superfast boot and Superfast shutdown. I've been using mainly the reboot for more than a month and I do not have a problem to date. I thought thaT I would try this program and when I first saw this thing shut off I thought WOW but..man this comp is going to boot real funky. Never happened. I really only use it for the times that I feel a crash in my bones. I got short cut keys programmed in and if I can get to it before it freezes this program will close through anything, and I swear it's got to be faster than If I were to pull the plug.
Cons: I don't have a single complaint. I just wanted to share my experiences with this product to inform my good friends on download.com. I surely coudn't say this program has no problems as it does bypass the whole windows Saving of programs exit. Cake to to download, and as we all know, back up before you light up

Version: SuperFast Shutdown 1
"Seems OK , does shut down very quickly"
Pros: My machine really has a slow shutdown ,it drives me nuts sometimes.I use this when i really want to shut down quickly - not always, but it's useful under some circumstsnces.
Cons: AVG flags it as a potentially harmful programme , mind you AVG does tend to find a lot of things , particularly Trojan Horses that I can never find any info on.
Use with caution , but as a sometimes thing it's useful
