Publisher's description of Super Mario Bros. 3 - 11-Minute Completion video
Although the legitimacy of this video may not be determined, it is nonetheless full of some amazingly good gameplay. In it, the entire Super Marios Bros. 3 game is allegedly beaten in under 11 minutes. The movie is in the WMV format.

Version: Super Mario Bros. 3 - 11-Minute Completion video
"A great video, but the guy cheated"
Pros: entertaining video, shows you possibilities for the Super Mario game and ways to speed up beating it
Cons: THe guy who made this used an emulator and played the game frame by framed or in another way that made it possible to do the insane tricks that he does

Version: Super Mario Bros. 3 - 11-Minute Completion video
Pros: I had trouble beating the game let alone like this. I think he had a bit too much time on his hands but this is astounding.

"Wow he can beat the game in 11 minutes WITH CHEATS"
Pros: None really. Just kills about 11 minutes of your life watching it.
Cons: Hate to tell this person but technically they DID NOT beat the game within 11 minutes just for the simple fact that skipped from world 1 to 8 using flutes and then did a what? 20? 30 life cheat? LAME. I dont know anyone that cant beat mario 3. WOW you used cheats to beat the game in 11 minutes. I hope we can all be as 'cool' as this guy.....*rolls eyes*....Not worth the download.

"Mario and triple shot espressos mix well."
Pros: This was very impressive; there is no question that this took hours of practice.
The continuous jump that eventually leads to "1UPSs" is true even in the OG console.
On other commentaries, some confused "secrets" with "cheats" which is allowed, if not encouraged (i.e. fireballs, invincibility, flutes, glitches, etc...).
For the gamers who still remember the grey 8-bit/ 1.79Mhz/mono sound from the 1980's watching this is a treat.
Cons: Right away, however, one can tell Mario's speed is too fast. I tried doing this on the original NES (still have it) and the game goes much slower.
What is not hard to believe is that this guy may have used an emulator to correct his mistakes, but I have not read his website, nor can I read Japanese.
Now go do something productive and as impressive with your lives :).
