The program blocks major spyware applications, sponsored search-engine ads, and Gmail-sponsored links, and it includes advanced privacy cleaning and automatic updates, so the product is never outdated. Super Ad Blocker provides detailed statistics for the number and type of ads blocked. The application plays a fun sound when an ad is blocked to celebrate your victory. The scanner features a kernel level driver designed to help detect and remove 'rootkit' style infections. The ad-blocking now blocks IntelliText ads that appear on web pages as double underlined words that show a window when hovered over.

Version 4.1.1004 provides updated ad-blocking and spyware defintions to detect and remove over 100,000 pests.

This fine pop-up blocker won us over with its effective performance and unexpected extra features. Since Super Ad Blocker sits in your system tray and can be added to your Internet Explorer toolbar, it's convenient to access no matter what you're doing. The application's logically organized main window is split into tabs for ad blocking, history cleaning, cookies, statistics, notification, and options. In our tests, the program did an excellent job of quashing all types of pop-ups, banners, and Flash ads. You can add allowed sites to a whitelist, although we wish you could do so via a hot key. This program's antispyware tool performed quite well, stopping the vast majority of adware that tried to run on our system. However, we should note the program doesn't stop spyware from installing registry keys, so you'll need a specialized utility to keep your PC clean. Beyond its prowess with pop-ups, Super Ad Blocker also lets you clear your Web-surfing and Windows histories. You also can have the program play one of several sounds when an ad is eliminated, and you can view statistics on blocked-ad types and frequencies. Users who need a high-performance pop-up blocker, spyware protection, a history cleaner, or all three certainly will benefit from this program.
