This fine pop-up blocker won us over with its effective performance and unexpected extra features. Since Super Ad Blocker sits in your system tray and can be added to your Internet Explorer toolbar, it's convenient to access no matter what you're doing. The application's logically organized main window is split into tabs for ad blocking, history cleaning, cookies, statistics, notification, and options. In our tests, the program did an excellent job of quashing all types of pop-ups, banner ads, and Flash ads when using both Internet Explorer and Firefox. You can add allowed sites to a whitelist. This program's antispyware tool performed quite well, stopping the vast majority of adware that tried to run on our system. The malware scanner also did a decent job. Beyond its prowess with pop-ups, Super Ad Blocker also lets you clear your Web-surfing and Windows histories. You also can have the program play one of several sounds when an ad is eliminated, and you can view statistics on blocked-ad types and frequencies. Users who need a high-performance pop-up blocker, spyware protection, a history cleaner, or all three certainly will benefit from this program.Publisher's description

"Well thought out and simple to use"
Pros: We are evaluating this software on three (two XP/one 98SE) work computers and it is going very well so far. We have tested about six or seven other popup blockers before this and this is easily the simplest one to understand and use. This one also blocks the most we have seen. I haven't seen a popup in days. On my main work computer it only took about 5 minutes to install to get setup with my preferences and get it working. If you install a lot of software to try out, 5 mins is really good. We (I mainly) do a lot of research on the Internet now for the interior remodeling trade and having a good popup blocker on all the time really reduces the hassles for searching and whatnot. Very happy so far, will probably buy. Oh, also happy this gives 30 days to try out. Most software these days is 15 or 20 days only to try.
Cons: Not really a con, but it isn't immediately clear that the software has a toolbar that allows us to re-load a page w/o the blocking on. It's a great (and handy) feature, just took me a little bit to find it and figure it out.
