Someday the sudoku craze may seem as dated as the mania for Rubik's Cubes, but for now the puzzles are the hottest things since crossword puzzles. Many programmers are working overtime to put the games on PCs, and Sudoku Puzzle Game and Solver is among the results. Sudoku's rules require a player to fill a nine-by-nine-space board with digits from one to nine, so no digit is repeated in any row, column, or three-by-three square area. Easy versions of the game start with many of the digits already filled in, and difficult versions provide fewer hints. This particular software has little pizazz, creating games for players without providing any advanced features, and offering only a bare-bones interface. The program will solve a puzzle if a player is stuck, and save a game to be resumed later. The trial version allows only five uses. However, Sudoku's charm lies in its ability to twist brains, not in advanced graphics or other features, and this program does provide a good opportunity to test your logic skills.

Graphical interface is well concieved. Very easy to use. So many different game levels, you'll never get bored. Well thought out and well done. This is all you'll need.

Board all white and groups of nine not easy to distinguish. Boxes are rectangular instead of square which makes viewing even more dificult.
